Once known to have said, “Hey, it beats accordian”, Flavio’s drumming career started as soon as he was able to clamp his mits around a pair of sticks — and it hasn’t stopped since. His backbeat has reverberated across Canada, the U.S., Europe and Japan. Flavio gained visibility in his early career as a founding member (as well as songwriter and co-producer) of Vancouver’s highly successful Velour 3. His solid groove and energetic dynamics have been featured in performance and on recordings with, among others, Ani Kyd, Noah Nine, Marion Andrew, The Orchid Highway, The Elusive Project X, Sonic, Random Order, The Wetspots and TUIAS — garnering great reviews and record sales along the way.
